A.R. Rahman Birth

He was born on 6 January 1967 in Channei, tamilnaadu, India. At birth, his name was A.S. Dilip kumar which was later changed to A.R. Rahman. Rahman inherited music from his father. His Father R.K. Shekhar used to give music in Malayali movies.
A.R. Rahman received the Music Master of Education Master from Dhanraaj. At the age of just 11, he used to play keyboards (synthesizer) for Raahman band Routs with his childhood friend Shivmani. He used to work for the band of Iliyaraaja.
A.r. Rahman is credited with the establishment of Channei’s band “Nemesis Avenue”. They all played keyboards, Piano, Harmonium and guitars. They consider synthesizer to be a wonderful confluence of art and technology.
A.R. Rahman died when his father was nine years old and the family had to sell instrumental instuments for money. Things became so bad that his family had to adopt Islam.
While working in the band group, he also got a scholarship from Trinity College of Music, London, from where he obtained a degree in Western Classical Music.
